Science News!

Greetings to all our science enthusiasts!

We are thrilled to share with you the exciting and innovative activities that our students have been engaged in over the past few months.

Our Year 7 students have been introduced to the wonders of science and as part of their studies, they have been conducting experiments to find the best mixture for making bubbles. The assessment task was challenging but also fun and we were amazed to see the creative solutions that our young scientists came up with.  Our Year 7 students also had the opportunity to visit the Ballarat Tech School and participate in a range of STEM activities, including coding robots, tasting exotic foods and solving environmental problems. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot from it.

As we move into the new term, we are excited to focus on physics with our Year 7 students and they will be making a ballista as part of their studies. We can't wait to see what they will create!

Our Year 8 students have been exploring the fascinating world of biology and will now turn their attention to chemistry. We are confident that they will find the subject equally engaging and exciting.

Our Year 9 students have been learning about electromagnetism and circuits and have had the chance to visit the Ballarat Tech School on occasion. We are proud of their hard work and dedication to their studies.

We have also seen several senior psychology and biology groups attend workshops at the Ballarat Tech School, which has been an enriching experience for them.  We believe that science is an important and exciting subject and we are committed to providing our students with the best possible learning experience. We look forward to seeing what the rest of the year has in store for our budding scientists!

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,

Steven Pompe
