Liam Twomey – Triathlon Athlete

On Tuesday Liam Twomey came to speak to our Grade 3-6 students about his journey as triathlete and how he is currently training for the paralympics in Paris for next year. He spoke to the students about how he struggled through his schooling years but found purpose in sports and training. He mentioned the importance of gratitude, mindfulness and goal setting in his journey- truly inspirational stuff!

Lightning Premiership

Our Grade 5/6 students have represented the school fantastically within their allocated sports on Friday for the Summer Lightning Premiership. We are so proud of the great support they showed to each other as well as opposition teams and always giving their best effort. Next term we will be competing in the winter round robin in sports such as netball, soccer and softball.

AUSLAN

The final weeks of term have seen our Grade 3-6 ticking off their term goals. Its been super impressive to see the wide range of goals based around fingerspelling, colours and feelings, to which our students have put extra practise and focus into. Classes also had the opportunity to brainstorm what topics they would like to learn next term.

Our junior students have loved playing games and extending their knowledge around feelings and colours. It’s the rewarding part of the term when we see the progression in skills and the enthusiasm associated with this.
