Congratulations to our Year 6 boys who took first place at the Lightning Premiership on Friday. It was an awesome effort going undefeated throughout the entire day.  Awesome effort by all of the students playing 5 games back-to-back. 

 

Our students had their first Mass dance rehearsal last week with other schools in the Officer cluster for the Victorian State Schools Spectacular. All of our students demonstrated our school values and represented with pride. Please see some of the photos on Facebook.

 

Our students participated in the Halogen Young Leaders Day last week. They listened to a number of special guest speakers who inspired our students to develop their leadership potential by sharing their own journey to success. We definitely have some future leaders at Officer Primary School!

 

Our Easter Bonnet Parade was magnificent. Our students designed some awesome hats and did an wonderful performance. Well done every one. Keep up the brilliant work. Please see Facebook for photos.

 

Building and Grounds Updates

 

After re-consideration of our application for our toilet repairs the Victorian School Building Authority have decided to repair our toilets estimated to cost up to $35,000. VSBA have promised that these works will commence asap. We anticipate that our new toilets should be accessible from mid-term 2. More information to come later.

 

Shade Sail Update

 

Our new Shade Sail in the centenary garden has now been fully completed. Our students and teachers are very excited to see that they have a new learning space where they can use for hands-on learning tasks, reading or general group activities.  If you have not yet seen the Shade Sail please pop in and check it out. 

 

School Council Announcements
 

We would like to congratulate Karen H for being elected as the School Council President for 2023. Karen brings with her an enormous wealth of knowledge coming from a Education Background too. Karen has also been serving school Council since 2021. Thank you Karen for leading our school community.

As we reach the end of Term 1, I'd like to thank all students, parents and staff for surviving a very long term. As a school we have had so much happening this Term and I think everyone would agree that it has been full of fun, excitement, giggles and general hard work. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
