Term 2 Wellbeing Topics

Respectful Relationships: Gender and Identity

Students will be learning to challenge gender stereotypes, to value and show respect for diversity and difference, and learn how to apply these attitudes within positive gender relationships.

The Zones of Regulation

Students will also be learning about The Zones of Regulation. This teaches students how to recognise and manage their emotions and behaviours in different situations. They will learn how to identify which zone they are in, which will help them to understand how they are feeling and how to regulate their emotions and behaviours. They will also learn different strategies for each zone that they can use to help them self-regulate.

Circle Time

Students begin each day participating in Circle Time in their classrooms. Teachers introduce a topic or theme that students are encouraged to discuss. This is an opportunity for students to share their ideas and feelings, develop their social-emotional skills, foster positive relationships, develop communication skills, and create a sense of community and belonging.
