School Fee Structures 2021

In 2020 the fee structure at St Anthony's underwent some changes that brought us into line with the Catholic Education Melbourne Diocesan Policy and allow us to meet the financial demands of the growing needs of the school. St Anthony's fee structure had remained unchanged for 10 years and could no longer sustain the increase in the cost of providing adequate resources and opportunities.

In 2021 there will be no further changes to the fee structure. Due to COVID and the implication it has had on our families we have opted to keep the fee structure unchanged. You would have received your letter this week regarding fees. Please send the form back to the office indicating your payment preferences ASAP (including Health care Card).

It is compulsory for Catholic Schools to supplement Commonwealth and State Grants as part of the General Recurrent cost incurred in the running of the school. Hence it is necessary to have school fees and student fees as well as fund-raising efforts to raise money on the local level.

It is important to mention that no student will be excluded because of an inability to pay fees. In these cases a suitable fee structure will be negotiated with the Principal. If you have a Health care Card or Pensioners Card it is more important than ever that you communicate this with us so that we can offer you the substantially reduced fee rate in 2021.

As always, it is an expectation that all families make every effort to meet their financial commitments. It is a matter of justice to all students and families that the financial burden is equally distributed.

In order to grow and improve our school we need to receive fees which help maintain and grow a school with excellent resources, facilities and infrastructure. All services continually increase such as electricity, water, phone, cleaning expenses, staff salaries etc..  Fees  enable us to provide the best educational opportunities for our students and improve facilities.

Unfortunately, we cannot allow all parents in the group to come into the school learning spaces just yet, so we are encouraging one parent to attend.  We will have a suitable area set up in our Community Hub for all of you to have a coffee or tea, chat to staff and to each other and have the chance to look at uniform items. We will be able to assist you with what to order from your order form (in your transition bag).

While you are doing this, our Prep staff and support staff will look after all children in the small group. We will be guided by their readiness and if there is any worry or your child becomes upset, we will ensure that modifications can be made in order for them to feel comfortable. Please do not worry.

Please understand that this is not our usual and preferred introduction to our school but we hope that it enables a personal and enjoyable visit in a small group environment that will enable you and your child to feel comfortable and familiar with our school.

If you missed out on a personal school tour before lockdown and have not yet seen inside our school, you will be offered a tour with me on your scheduled transition day. If you have already had a tour, please understand that priority will be given to those who have not had that opportunity.

On your transition day, lease arrive via the Buckley Street front car park and walk around the hall to Administration where you will be met by one of our student leaders.

We look forward to seeing you on your allocated day.

Every day counts

Please remember that the roll is marked daily and attendance is a requirement. Remote learning has concluded. Coming to school everyday to learn is an absolute necessity, so is checking in every day online during remote learning.  Our students cannot learn effectively if they have a significant number of days off, or even if they are regular late comers.  Make sure you get behind Every Day Counts!!

Each day of school missed makes a difference, with the effect on learning accumulating over time. From an early age, if children are taught that they need to 'show up' for school and make a commitment, this positive mentality aids academic and career success and brings benefits in adulthood.

TO MAKE THE MOST OF THEIR POTENTIAL NO CHILD SHOULD MISS MORE THAN 2-3 DAYS OF SCHOOL PER TERM.

If your child is going to be absent from school, please call the school office on 95460044 by 9.00am.  Alternatively, you can email the school to notify of your child’s absence at  office@sanoblepark.catholic.edu.au, or log the absence via the link on the website.

If we do not receive notification of an absence by 9.30am we are required under regulations to message you at home or work to follow up the absence. Please notify the school of all absences. Please note that prolonged absences without notification will be followed up. Many days absent from school does impact on student learning and programs designed to support students.
