2021 Booklist

Due to DET changing the way schools are able to seek payments from parents we are offering you the option of purchasing your child’s stationery from school or purchasing it yourself.

If you wish to purchase from school we are asking you to pay by November 27th, 2020. This is necessary as we need to have the order in with our suppliers on December 1st. This will allow them the time to deliver in late January for you to pickup from school on January 27th. Each child will receive their own pack customised to the needs of their grade. This will need to be taken home and labelled with their name on every item prior to beginning school on January 28th.

More details of this, including the stationery list and other payments will follow next week.

School Camp/swimming

In the latest DET Operations Guide, camps and swimming are now permitted. Our grade 5/6 camp will be going ahead at Waratah Bay Beach Camp on November 30th till December 2nd and we think it is wonderful that the children will get this opportunity. We are corresponding with the swimming centre to ascertain their capacity to reopen and offer a swimming program for us in weeks nine and ten of this term. We will inform you next week about this and as it is a very short timeframe we will be asking for payment quickly. We predict the cost will be about $80 for the swimming program if it goes ahead.

Playground

Also in this week’s guidelines there is an easing of the restriction to use our playground so the adventure playground and the water pumps have now been opened and the children are enjoying using both.

Kinder Playground

The upgrade of the playground in the kindergarten has now been completed. It also includes a water feature along with many components to allow the kinder kids to experience outdoor play.

School Photos

We have made a booking (to be confirmed) for our school photos to be taken on 26th November, 2020.
