Sustainability Corner

ETHICAL GIFTS

We are committed to embedding sustainability into our practices and providing educational opportunities that will foster our students to care and respect the natural environment. As of 2021, we are asking interested families to donate to a new sustainability fund, with monies raised going towards practical initiatives to benefit all RPS students and the wider community.

We are asking our community to tell us which initiative we should direct these funds to, noting that anyone can vote. Teachers will also work with our students to get their vote.

Which sustainability initiative do you wish to vote for:

  1. An outdoor table and bench seats to facilitate flexible outdoor learning and support social gathering
  2. A composting system including worm farms to recycle onsite food scraps
  3. Improved recycling collection infrastructure in each classroom
  4. An indigenous and bush tucker garden

We will report back in the next newsletter edition on which initiative was the most popular.
