Year 7 Belonging Day

On Friday 29 November, Year 7 participated in personal development, community building and faith-based activities in their House groups. Students rotated through a series of six personal development, community building and faith-based activities presented by the College Academic Care and Wellbeing Coordinators, Year 10 SRC, Sue Todd and Sue Bradley from The Mt Erin Heritage Centre, Ben Holt from Erin Earth and Elders from our local Wiradjuri community.
The Year 7 Belonging Day challenged and inspired students to communicate effectively while respecting others as Christians in continuing the legacy of our Founders and House Patrons. Stewardship of creation was explored through a scavenger hunt at Erin Earth and Aunty Julie Christian, Aunty Evelyn Jolley and Aunty Moyra Shields helped students weave an image of goanna (gugaa), the totem of Wiradjuri.
Thank you to the Year 10 SRC, Ms Reynolds, Mr Hull, Mrs Lough, Mrs Banks, Mrs Garrod, Mrs O’Rourke, Mrs Murphy, Mrs Cooper, Mr Holbrook, Ms Adams, Ms O’Brien, Mr Laub, Miss Fahey, Ms Stewart, Mr Jolley, Ms Smith.
A huge thank you to Mrs Potts, James Forwood, Connor Galvin, Tom O’Brien and Toby Lawler for keeping us nourished and cool on the day.
