Performing Arts

What a wonderful welcome I have had to the Holy Spirit community! A big thank you to everyone for helping me settle in. I am really enjoying getting to know all of the lovely students and I am so grateful for all of the learning and fun that has taken place so far.

In the introductory weeks of Performing Arts we have been exploring the performance-based discipline of Drama. The students have been involved in many activities including, drama games, improvisation and mime to investigate how they can use facial expression, tone and body language to express emotion in their acting. Over the next few weeks, the students will be working on a task to assess their progress in Drama.

Here are some photos of the Senior students doing an activity called “Emotion Tableau” and some Junior students preparing their puppets for their upcoming puppet shows.
