An evening of Big Band Music with the NHS Stage Bands.

Jazz at Lincoln Center presents Essentially Ellington Down Under

JMI and New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center will be bringing a new and exciting festival to Australia in August this year, offering high school jazz bands and music directors/musicians of all sorts some excellent performance and professional development opportunities.

The Essentially Ellington Down Under Regional Festival will feature a high school big band festival in Melbourne and is adjudicated by 2 Jazz at Lincoln Center representatives. In addition, there will be a full-day workshop in each city for musicians, students and teachers led by the Jazz at Lincoln Center representatives.

The Northcote High School Senior Stage Band will be performing on August 10th at 2:30pm at the Darebin Arts Centre. Please come along to listen to some fine music making.

Strings, Wine & Cheese

An evening of String music deaturing the NHS string Ensembles and orchestra.

Supporting Oxfam

The Northcote High School Senior Band and Senior Strings will take part in a series of Oxfam fundraising concerts. Family and friends are invited to come to the concerts to support our students, and to support Oxfam.
