1/2D-Hard at Work!

Dear Families and Friends,

Thank you to all families for making our Picnic and Fun afternoon such a wonderful community occasion. It was great to see our parents back on site and enjoying spending time with their children and also enjoying conversations with our teachers.

A very special thank you to Pino Castaldo who donated the sausages for the sausage sizzle and also to Ryan and his great team at Baker's Delight Mordialloc for donating the bread. Thank you to Lisa, Ben, Tania, Tracey and Michele for helping to cook and hand out the sausages, popcorn and ice-creams.

Thank you to the staff who participated with our children in the Kaboom activities and then spent time catching up with their parents.

Enhancing Catholic Identity Survey (ECIS)

This is a reminder that if you have not already completed the ECIS survey and are trying to access it, there is a issue with the survey that is yet to be resolved. I will let you know when the survey is back up and running via SkoolBag and the Newsletter.

If you have completed the survey - thank you, it gives us a great indication as to how we are ensuring our Catholic Identity is seen at St Brigids, both in it’s physical and spirtitual presence.

Swimming

It was lovely to go down to see the children participating in their swimming lessons. The children are so polite and listen carefully to all instructions from their swimming instructor, classroom teacher and parents. I am so proud of how they represent our school and take pride in the way they present themselves.

End of Term

It is amazing how quickly Term 1 has flown by. We only have 2 weeks left of school and we have had such a busy term. We have had Swimming,  interschool sports, Cross country (school and district), Sport Gala Day, Catch up Sacrament programs for Reconciliation and Eucharist and lots of learning by our students.

Our last day of term is Wednesday 31st March at 3.15pm. We will have an assembly at 2.30pm where we will draw the prizes in our Easter Raffle.  If the weather is nice we will draw the raffle outside on the oval and parents can come along.  Keep the donations coming. The more donations the more prizes we will have on offer. Donations can be left at the front office until next Friday 26th March.

Enrolments

Thank you to the parents who have delivered flyers around their streets advertising our enrolments for 2022.   We still have flyers available so if you would like to deliver some flyers to the houses near where you live please see Tracey in the office.  We have had quite a lot of interest and school tours.

Existing families with children starting Foundation next year, are invited to come and collect your enrolment pack from the office.

Cross Country Assembly

We hope you enjoy our Assembly from last Friday 12 March.

Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser

Our very good friends at Baker's Delight Mordialloc have offered us a Hot Cross Fundraiser for our school.  $2.00 from every order will be donated to St Brigid's.  There are four flavours of Hot Cross Buns available, Tradtional, Apple & Cinnamon, Choc Chip and Fruitless. Orders can be placed via CDFpay. Click here for the link and select the Social and Fundraising Tab.  Orders must be placed by 12 noon on Friday 26 of March and will be delivered to school on Tuesday 30th of March just in time for Easter. Feel free to place an order for family and friends.

Uniform

Just a reminder that we would like our children to be in the proper school uniform.  We have noticed of late that children are starting to wear runners instead of their school shoes.  Wearing our uniform corretly shows that we take pride in our school.  Also heading into Term 2 please check that you have your winter uniform sorted. Uniform orders can be placed online via CDFpay.  Click here for the link.
