This Saturday June 15th our Year 3 students will receive their First Communion. We welcome all families to attend this celebration at 2:00pm at St Fidelis Church and pray for our families and students at this very special time in the lives of the child's faith journey.

It is lovely to see parents attend our Thursday Morning Whole School Prayer. A reminder that the purpose of Whole School Morning Prayer is to provide both a time and opportunity for all school members to express their faith, and to promote and foster a culture of prayer in our Catholic school community. This week's prayer will focus on the importance of Communion and we will especially remember and pray for all our students who are receiving this Sacrament.

Student Led Conversations - Wednesday June 19th (Parent, teacher student conversations)
This year all year levels will participate in Students Led Conversations. Feedback from teachers and parents in 2018 recommended that a 20-minute time-slot for these conversations would be required to ensure an authentic learning conversation to take place between parent, teacher and student. All conversations will take place on one day from 9:00 - 7:00pm. NO SCHOOL ON THIS DAY. There will be child minding service available for siblings, in the library, during your child's interview time. For safety reasons no children are to remain outside without adult supervision. Thank you.

Please ensure that your children are in the correct Winter School Uniform. As per our current school uniform policy, the Bomber jacket does not replace the woollen jumper. The Bomber jacket can be worn over the top of the woollen jumper for extra warmth. I will speak to all the children about the expectations and uniform policy at assembly this week. If you have concerns please some and speak to me personally. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
Second-Hand Uniform - Wanted
Many second-hand uniforms have been generously donated by parents over the years, however, we do have a shortage of the woollen school jumpers. If you do have a spare jumper at home and you no longer require it, can you please leave your donation at the office.

Victorian Government Capital Funding Program: 2019-2023
The CEM has advised all Catholic Schools that Round One of the Victorian Government Capital Funding program (2019-2023) has been released. There are four rounds to this funding. I will apply for all four rounds over the next few years. My goal would be to complete Stage 1 & 2 of our master plan which is an upgrade of the classroom facilities in the original building. Let's pray that Saint Fidelis looks after us.
Applications are open from Monday 3 June 2019. Applications will close on Friday 5 July 2019.
Assessments will be undertaken between 5 July 2019 and October 2019, with funding allocations to be announced in December 2019.
