I would like to thank everyone for their support of our Library this year. It is always a pleasure to assist students and staff with their school resource needs as well as direct them to some great YA (Young Adult) titles and new authors that they can get to know through holiday reading.
Our 2018 Library Team of student monitors from Years 7 to 9 are always working hard to make the Library an inviting space for all everyone to use - from shelving and borrowing, to creating and making, they really do it all!
In particular I would like to thank our 2018 Library Captains - Belle York, Emily Jones and Olivia Shillington - who keep us all in check and do the most wonderful displays.
I look forward to working with you all again in 2019. Merry Christmas and Happy Reading!

This year in the Library has been great. It’s always fun putting up displays and this year we all helped to paint a pirate ship for the “Find your treasure” display. It’s always an honour to work as part of the library team and help out if I can. It’s been a great year and I hope next year will be an awesome year for the library as well.

Year 9
Being part of the library team this year has been a wonderful and educational experience. Not only have I helped with displays and shelving, but I have been on many excursions with the library team, including the Melbourne Writers festival.
The Melbourne Writers Festival was a great day. We got to meet many authors and illustrators, one of whom used to go to Mount Eliza Primary School – Sammy J. We heard about ghost stories and a man who spent endless nights in haunted houses, just so he could write his poetry, showing true emotions.
There have been many displays in the library this year, however, my favourites would have to be, the “Find your treasure” and the current “Merry Christmas” display. We had a team of about five people work on both of these displays. Many students probably don’t realise the time and effort the library team puts into these paintings.
Overall, this year has been an amazing experience, not only for me, but the whole library team. Mrs Swannell is an exceptional librarian, who is always going out of her way to help others. I highly recommend coming into the library, there are lots of games to play and books to read. Not to mention the wonderful displays that are always around. I cannot wait for another year in the library.
Happy holidays and remember to keep reading.

These are provided for students and staff to use via the app 'ePlatform' by Wheelers Books (download it via your app store for use on multiple devices). With over 1600 eBooks and over 600 audiobooks (on trial until Term 1 2019) to choose from there really is no excuse not to be reading these summer holidays. If you can't find anything on the app then pop into the library and we can give you 'the real thing'!
Students please note that if you change devices, and/or have them reset or wiped, during the holidays then these will need to be reconfigured at the start of Term 1 ready for use in class. You will need to bring the device to the ICT (Library) Office and speak to one of the technicians to have this done.
