Facing our fears

Year 8 Camp

At the beginning of Week 8, Mrs Green, Ms Marks , Miss Phan, Mr Barned, Mr Wilcox , Mr Alfonsi and Mrs Simundza and 95 Year 8 students went off to a three day camp at The Great Aussie Bush Camp at Kincumber. We all had great fun experiencing challenges and activities that we wouldn’t normally come across - learning how to make and cook bush damper, facing our fears with a 20 metre power fan jump, learning to pick partners wisely when going on the 20 metre-three-person-swing (Gabriella Porreca - well done using your best loud voice!) and amongst other things, how far mud can really go once you’ve done an obstacle course full of it!

We all had an absolutely fantastic time and it was so wonderful to see so many of us conquering fears and creating lovely new memories together.
