SRC's Healthy Snacks

by Olivia Macmillan, Year 12

On Wednesday 22 November, the SRC (Student Representative Council) held a Fruit Day at school. Our main aim was to remind students that fruit is a great substitute for unhealthy snacks.

The event was declared a great success, providing a multi-coloured feature within our main-quad. With the help of teachers, parents, students and the local community we were able to supply an abundance of fruits to feed the whole school during recess.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all involved. We would especially like to thank Valley Fresh, Coles Supermarket at Green Valley, Woolworths at  Carnes Hill and Trims Fresh for providing kind donations for  the day.  It was fantastic to see how so many people assisted us to make the day a huge success.
