Year 7 HSIE students practised their archaeological skills by excavating chocolate chips from cookies using toothpicks.

7TC4 have just finished tie dyeing and the results are amazing. Looking forward to making the bag and to see the completed project.

Year 8 RE

Year 8 RE classes have been studying a unit called 'striving for goodness' . As part of their learning they have been challenged to create and implement acts of kindness around the College.

Isabelle Kelly and Isabelle Murphy sold home-made cupcakes, scrunchies and earrings from their pop up shop. They will set up again on Friday, and will donate all proceeds to the Westpac rescue helicopter service.

Please support them in this extremely worthwhile cause .

Well done girls… kindness in action.

Year 10 Child Studies

Mother's Group in western society is a key part of a new Mother's journey. The supportive and inclusive nature of the groups are beneficial for both Mother and child. Our year 10 Child Studies class were welcomed to join a group session on Monday 2nd September to interact with the babies and Mothers and to ask questions. The experience was great and the class had a blast!

Year 12 Ancient History

To continue building on our knowledge of sources, in our double period today students were tasked with bringing to life an ancient Pompeiian house, the House of the Vetti.

Students were given a copy of the floor plan at the beginning of the lesson, which they soon built with lego. Students were also given a range of historical sources that were found within the House of the Vetti that they located, placed on the enlarged version of the floor plan, and annotated with explanations of the links to all the relevant syllabus dot points that they could identify. Students also labelled the floor plan with both the Latin and English vocabulary terms to consolidate their knowledge of historical language.
