Regional Swimming

On Monday the 28th  of March I went to the region swimming championships at MSAC.  We parked then we went to the door. They told us we need to go upstairs to wait for it to be time.

When we got up there we had a little snack as we watched the high school students race. About 25 minutes later we headed outside to the stadium seating area. I was bored by sitting there and doing nothing for about 34 minutes.

When it was time for the primary schools to race I got nervous. Then it was time for my race, the 50m freestyle, so I went to the marshalling area, it was time for me to race. It was my race I started, I dove into the water and swam as fast as I possibly could. At the end I looked at the board. My place was 7th and my time was 39.87 seconds which is my personal best (PB) then I went back to my home.

Ambulance Visit

Thank you to Amelia the ambulance officer, a parent from FL, for providing an excellent incursion for our students.

Photos of us sitting in the ambulance and on the bed stretcher and the trolley.

Foundation Maths

FG There’s just no stopping some students! We love maths!!! We love numbers.

FG As part of the engaging performing arts program, Mrs Emery invited the senior grades’ buddies to watch them perform with their ukuleles. It was mesmerising!

Then the foundation students were able to have a turn and were given some pointers by their talented buddy. Thank you Mrs Emery and thank you buddies!!

FG  students have been making CVC words ( consonant, vowel, consonant) from their Little Learners Love Literacy word lists. They don’t just read and blend, they write them, play snap, bingo and go fish with them and make their words out of just about anything!

Imagine building something nearly as tall as you! Nate designed and constructed this tower all by himself! Too clever!

Willow has started writing words she knows! She is so proud!
