John XXIII Rowing Club

Saturday Trainings

Once again, we had a fabulous turn out on 2 April for our last female Saturday training session before our rowing season kicks off. We are very lucky for our parent helpers who always put on a great spread. Last Saturday was no exception. Many thanks to Melissa and Brendan Aylmore, Yolande Wall and Kieran Derbyshire.

Rowing Camp – 11-13 April

A Rowing bus from John XXIII College will be available for students who require this service on Monday 11, Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 April.

The bus will be leaving at 5:30am each morning for commencement at Canning River at 6:00am each morning.

Many thanks to the parents who will be helping with breakfast and lunch each day. Schedules have been emailed to all parents.

Students will need to ensure they come to training with the following items:

  1. Spare dry PE uniform/House shirt, hat, College bathers and rash vest. If the weather is wet, bring multiple dry changes of clothes. We will be training rain, hail or shine.
  2. Towel/s and drink bottle
  3. Personal medical requirements eg. Ventolin

Camp concludes each day at 4:00pm.

All information can be found on the permission form sent out through SEQTA, on the Team App under ‘Documents’. Should you have any other queries, please email me directly on Lorrelle.fortune@cewa.edu.au

Congratulations Elinor Scott and Stevo Vincent

We welcome back our Head Coach, Elinor Scott. Elinor has been on the east coast competing in the Rowing Nationals. Elinor and her crew were successful in securing a bronze medal. Well done!

We wish Stevo Vincent all the very best whilst away on the Gold Coast competing for Gold in the Australian Surf Boats competition.

Aren’t we lucky to have such talented individuals in our program.
