Year 10 Meningococcal Vaccine

The Department of Health is offering parents of students in Year 10 the opportunity to have their child vaccinated against Meningococcal ACWY. This vaccine protects against four serogroups of meningococcal bacteria: A, C, W and Y.

The Department of Health Immunisation team will be visiting the College on Thursday 26 May to administer the vaccine. Information and consent forms will be sent home with your child in due course.

There is no gap required between receiving this vaccine and COVID vaccine.

Consent form must be returned even if your child is not receiving the vaccine.

Students are vaccinated in school by a nursing team with expertise in immunisation.
