Carlsruhe Annexe

News..

It’s Week 2 of the final term of the year already and the students in the Carlsruhe Unit are in full work mode with lots of important days fast approaching.

Comparing Countries Project

This week the students have been presenting their projects to the rest of the class. The standard of these projects has been outstanding and it is clear they have all put in many hours at home.

Parent Open Session

Next Friday the 25th of October from 1.45pm-2.20pm for CU2 and CU3 and 2.10pm-2.45pm for CU1, parents are invited to attend an open afternoon at the CU1 classroom at the main campus and at the Carlsruhe Annexe. The students will have the opportunity to show their presentations and other work they have been completing in class. If you are free we would love to see there.

Thursday Activities

A reminder that Thursday activities will start next week (Thursday at 1.45pm) at Carlsruhe, and run for 6 weeks.

If you are able to help with any activities, please let the Carlsruhe teachers know and make sure the office has a copy of your current Working With Children Check.

Tree Planting

This week the students joined in with tree planting programs at the Woodend Community Garden and down at the Campaspe River with organisers from North Central Catchment Management Authority and Coliban Water. The students were very enthusiastic and put in a great amount of work. Over the duration of 2 hours they planted more the 300 native trees, grasses and shrubs which will greatly assist in improving the health of the Campaspe River and encourage native wildlife to return.

CU1 joined the Senior Unit for a planting session at the main campus on Monday and thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
