The Sunroom
Surf's up at Camp
Poetic reflections from the Sunroom camp on the Great Ocean Road
Camp Anglesea/Aireys Inlet

The Great Ocean Road,
It’s so very long;
Down on the beach,
Current oh so strong!
Canoeing, doing,
Splashing, crashing,
Sorry, sorry, can you move?
Lighthouse, lighthouse, up and up,
Never stopping til we’re puffed.
Up high looking down,
Oh my goodness, where’s the ground!
Surfing, surfing through the waves,
On a sunny day.
Paddling through the sea,
All my friends and me.

A long trip
I loved surfing and canoeing. At first I didn’t feel comfortable to surf or canoe, but when I tried it, it was really fun. Me, Jazzy and Lachie, the instructor, worked really well as a team. We rowed at the same time so we would speed up and go very quick. It was funny when we had to tow Indigo and Isma to shore after they crashed into the bank. I stood up on the surfboard and I would like to go surfing again. Camp Reflection by Erik

Camp Reflection – Jasmine
Canoeing was fun. I liked it because it was a new experience. It was fun to be on the river without touching the water!

The Making
One person’s trash is another’s treasure!
After a recent visit to Reverse Art Truck for ‘making’ materials, the children constructed, created and played with joy and satisfaction.
Grandparents' Day
Some of us had the chance to interview our grandparents about their self identity at Grandparents and Special Friends Day. We explained how our sculptural pieces reflected who we are through our choice of materials and mediums.
