Immunisations 2016

Immunisations
On Thursday 25th February Year 7 students will have the first of three scheduled immunisations at school. This
service is provided by Knox Council and the vaccines administered are according to the National Immunisation Program Schedule.
Immunisations are important for people to get and to keep up-to-date on to prevent disease. Some diseases
are worse for teenagers and adults if they get sick which is why it is important to immunize your children with all the proper shots.
Some tips to prepare your child for the day can be found at:
If your child is absent and due to receive a vaccine you will be notified by Knox City Council’s Health Services
Unit and alternatives for catch up immunisations will be provided.
For more information about immunizations you can also contact Knox Council's Health Services on 9298 8000 or email health.services@knox.vic.gov.au.
