Music Notes

Spring Dinner music
If starting the night with jazz fusion ambience while sipping chilled champagne sounds exciting, then Spring Dinner is for you.
Adrian Perger and his band of jazz musicians have spent the term working on the tunes to get the night going and are excited to perform for the event. So too are musicians ranging from Years 7 to 11 who will perform background solo works on instruments ranging from the traditional violin and piano to the Indian sitar.
With the delicious menu from the Kitchen Garden crew and music from our talented Preshil musicians, this will be a night not be missed.
DP Music composition for school production
Inspired by the upcoming School Production of Alice in Wonderland, the DP Music class has spent weeks composing music for the show.
Working with the script, the setting and the individual scenes, Year 11 musicians have been experimenting with instruments, sounds and harmonies. The Thursday All In Group has formed the basis of the production band and has had the privilege of working with the composers to help refine their works. The collaboration has been exciting to be part of and promises to create even greater atmosphere and ambience.
Wow... Mamma Mia alright!
