Swapping books to aid indigenous communities

Preshil’s Primary School - Arlington - will once more be holding the long-standing tradition of Anthology Week between Monday 10 - Friday 14 September. This special week is dedicated to the students honing their craft as authors and illustrators and sharing their voices, stories and creations with our community.

As part of this special week we will be participating in the national fundraiser, THE GREAT BOOK SWAP, which raises money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. To find out more, please follow this link:

We will be setting up our Book Swap tables in the hall and encourage people of all ages to bring in a book to swap with another book and donate a gold coin to this cause. These donations will go towards providing and creating literature with indigenous communities.

Thank you in anticipation for your support!

Hay fever season

Melbourne has a relatively short grass pollen season, with the worst being in October and November, though the pollen count is high.

Students often come to the office seeking medication for hay fever. We do not carry antihistamines in our first aid supplies. If your child requires medications like Zyrtec, Claritine or Telfast he/she will need to have their own supply.
