Traumatic Events
Each day our televisions and screens share with us information about catastrophic events in our world.
The truth is that natural disasters and world changing events like wars etc. have always been with us, its just that now we hear about them as they unfold and in excruciating detail. Many parents are left to wonder just what they should tell their children and even if they should explain these events to them at all.
We believe that God is in control of our world, our country and our school.
God’s original plan was that his people shouldn’t suffer, but sadly suffering has entered our world.
Beyond Blue has produced a fact sheet for parents which gives quite a lot of positive suggestions for parents about how and what to share with their children in regards to ‘scary stuff’.
