Grade 5's at Sovereign Hill
On Thursday and Friday our Grade 5 students attended the Sovereign Hill Costume School with the Buninyong Grade 5's. The students experienced what life was like living on the goldfields, especially for children. They attended school classes and some hands on activities. The students looked fantastic dressed in time appropriate clothing and they had a wonderful time.
Chook Shed
Our chook shed is starting to take shape thanks to the great work by Rick earlier this week. Still a few bits and pieces to do, but hopefully our chooks will be back on residence in the next week or two. Thanks Rick.
Father’s Day Stall
This Thursday 29th August, the students will have the opportunity to purchase a gift for Father’s Day. All gifts will be priced at $5
Wildlife Park Excursion
On Thursday 5th September, Scotsburn campus will be visiting the Ballarat Wildlife Park. Students will enhance their understanding and knowledge around native animals; including their features, survival techniques and habitats. The cost for the excursion is $13. Students will be required to wear full school uniform, have suitable footwear and warm jackets and hats. Please provide students with a water bottle, snacks and lunch, all to be taken in their backpacks. Notes will be sent home this week and need to be returned to your child’s teacher ASAP.

Book Week
A big thanks to the students that helped bring to life Book Week last week. We were able to get into the spirit thanks to daily announcements, classroom activities and story tellers who shared a favourite story or two at break times. It was great fun!
Back Creek Farm Visit
This Friday, a number of students from the Back Creek Farm will be visiting us to help with a range of things out in our playground. We’ll be returning the favour when the P-6’s visit Back Creek on Friday 6th September.

Lunch orders need to be collected from the Buninyong campus at 12.40 pm. Please ensure you organise a swap if necessary so that the students don’t go hungry!
