Year 11

Servant Leadership has been the focus for our Year 11 students this term. From developing skills in recognising what it means to be a College leader, to the wonderful participation in the two day Leadership Retreat. The College Student Leadership Council is made up of a body of peer elected students. These students work closely with staff on projects that support our College motto “Receive, Worship and Serve'. This year we had a plethora of students step outside their comfort zone and nominate themselves to be considered for the SLC 2021. With the daunting task of speaking in front of their peers at our year group assembly, we heard much enthusiasm for what next year might hold for our College. With such a high calibre of nominated  students, the voting was very close. Those students who were not successful in gaining a formal role are encouraged to continue to inspire change and participate fully in College life. I am personally proud of you all.

Congratulations to the 2021 SLC Members, the McCarthy community looks forward to working with you in 2021.
