Principal's Message

Educators are Angels of Hope

It is with much excitement that students will begin to return to on-site learning over the next few weeks. During the break I had the opportunity to listen to a number of educators, researchers and policy makers at the 2020 ACEL Global Conference titled 'Leading Successful Learning in a Changed World'. One of the statements made by a speaker that resonated was that “Educators are Angels of Hope”. During the time of COVID-19 lockdown for Victorians the importance of the role of the first educators of young people cannot be overstated. Parents, mums and dads, and teachers have had a huge responsibility for facilitating the learning of young people and sending the message of Hope. It does not matter how difficult things may be; there is always an opportunity to make the best of what we face and look forward to improved times including focusing on the learnings made.

Young people and their educators have been resilient, adaptable, flexible and agile. Very quickly we all learnt intentional new ways of doing things: managing time, learning new technologies and looking after our wellbeing. Much has been achieved.

Our focus as students return to school will be to reflect on our experiences and to move forward with new learnings.

Return to School

Parents will have received information for return to school via email. Please discuss this with your children to ensure the safety of our community.
