Eucalyptus House

Returning to school can create a rush of excitement, anxiety and even a bit of sadness. Saying goodbye to home can be difficult as the return to school for some has unknowns and that can be scary.

 

Students have shared the things they have missed about school: their friends, teachers, sports, extracurricular activities and even the ‘loud and crazy’ school environment. 

 

Many Eucalyptus students are missing some of what they experienced over the past six months: working at their own pace, setting their own schedule, fewer distractions, sleeping in and having hot lunches in the comfort of their home. 

 

Making the transition for staff and students, from learning at home to school requires understanding and patience. We are feeling confident and optimistic as we complete the school year.

 

We welcome Ms Sparks to the Eucalyptus Leadership Team this term as House Engagement Coordinator. We hope her time in the House will be rewarding as she works closely with students and families.
