Principal's Report -

Term 2 Week 8

Year 4-6 Melbourne Excursion

This week our year 4-6 students left early on Wednesday morning for our Melbourne Excursion. Everyone was really excited which is fantastic.

On the first day, they visited Parliament House and State Library. They went out for dinner at Southbank and visited the Eureka Skydeck afterwards. They have another great day planned for today, before arriving back in Wangaratta this evening at 9:00pm. There will be more photos and stories in the next newsletter.

Cross Country

Six of our students competed in the Zone Cross Country last Thursday in Wangaratta. It was a great morning. They all ran really well, and Lily, Ivy and Audrey have qualified for the next level of competition in three weeks at Winton. Well done to all.

In the classroom

A big thank you to Chrystal Jones for volunteering her time every Friday to come in and work with the students on our gardens. We have already seen some great progress in the gardens and look forward to seeing the garden to continue to grow. Another big thankyou to Greg Saunders for donating 4 cubic metres of soil to our school last week for our gardens.

School Reports

As we near the end of Term 2, staff have been writing the mid-year reports for students. These reports give parents and carers an update on how your child is progressing with their learning. Parents are always welcome to come and talk with us about how your child is going. Many parents have been doing this throughout the year already.

Pupil Free Day - Report Writing Day

Tomorrow, Friday 14th June is a pupil free day. There will be no school as teachers will be writing reports.
