Pastoral Care and Wellbeing

School TV is here at St. Joseph's!

Today parents face a multitude of modern day challenges in raising happy, well and resilient young people. Whilst there is a great deal of information available, this can often be confusing and overwhelming for parents looking for guidance.

SchoolTV addresses this as a new online resource designed to empower you as parents with credible and sound information with realistic, practical ongoing support strategies.

SchoolTV enables our school community to access a variety of topics, fact sheets and expert advice.

SchoolTV can be accessed through our website and PAM, as well as through this link:

I encourage you to visit our SchoolTV site. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Rach Chapman, through the front office.

Cyber Safety

The last two weeks Learning Mentor Groups and House Assemblies have had a Cyber Safety focus, providing resources, information, clips and supports to engage and educate students regarding cyber safety, their digital footprint and where to access help if needed.

There is some fantastic information on our SchoolTV site aimed at parents. Please visit this and continue the positive conversations with your students.

A reminder of the importance of being responsible cyber/digital citizens.Remember to THINK - Is it TRUE, is it HELPFUL, is it INSPIRING, is it NECESSARY, is it KIND? Our digital footprint and reputation are valuable and we need to be mindful of this with what we post, follow and share.

Farewell Kevin Morgan

Last week we farewelled Kevin Morgan from our Learning Enhancement Team after approximately five years at St. Joseph’s and 40 years in education. We wish Kevin all the best in his retirement and thank him for all of his work and care for our school community.
