SACE Night

Student Enrichment Group

The Enrichment Group met on Monday 29 June. The junior primary students had fun programming the floor robots, ‘Bee Bots’ then made battery operated kits. The older students designed and constructed rubber band cars. We were able to discuss things like, the effect of wheel size, placement and length of the chassis on the speed or efficiency of the car.

Flinders Uni Enhanced Tour

Flinders University is offering an Enhanced Tour Program for both Parents and Year 12 students to receive pathway and course advice in a personalised and tailored meeting.

A Flinders Advisor and students will explain how university study works, entry requirements, what pathways are available and what steps can be taken to best support students to reach their study goals. This is a great opportunity to meet current students during the school holidays and explore your options before the SATAC applications open in August and Year 12 exam preparation begins.

Bookings can be made via the online booking form:

Magazines Needed

This Semester in Pastoral Care Year 8 students have begun creating their own Vision Boards!

Inspired by these two verses;

Habakkuk 2:2 ‘Write the Vision down and make it clear’ and

Hebrews 11:1 ‘Faith is the substance of things hoped for…’

We would appreciate BOXES of magazines students can cut up and be creative with!

Lifestyle, food, sport, fashion, faith, cars… all things clean and teen!

Thank you in advance!

Year 9 Rite Journey

In Rite Journey this term the girls have been discussing the importance of self-care.

Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health. Self-care means that you are simply being mindful of your own needs, so you are better able to support the people you care about. When you take care of yourself and are not stressed, you are better able to meet the needs of others. Self-care comes in a variety of forms.

Some examples of self-care include: getting enough sleep, eating well, going for a walk, or listening to music. The girls have created some amazing posters with a collection of some of the things that they would enjoy doing for self-care, as well as some inspirational quotes and images. This is a great reminder to all of us that we are better equipped to care for others when we deliberately take some time to meet our own needs as well.

'Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”'

Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

Daily Devotions

Parents, we invite you to go on the journey with us in our daily home group devotions! Download the “Vision 180 App” and read each days devotion and scripture. We have a great time discussing key points and praying.

Students can continue with the Saturday and Sunday devotions individually or as a family at home and also use the App to prepare for when they are next on to read devotions out loud to the class :)
