Power Outage
We've been informed that the power will be out at school all day Tuesday, July 28. As frustrating as it is, Powercor has assured us that is unavoidable. As a result, it is possible that students will have to have the day off. However, we are keen to find a way for school to go ahead, so we're working on a plan for something different that day. For some parents though, it may be advisable to come up with a plan B in case we aren't able to find a suitable solution. Whatever solution we come up with, it is likely to be weather dependant, and we may need to cancel the day with minimal notice, so please be prepared for a possible student-free day.
School Photos
Originally, our photo day was scheduled for May. It was cancelled due to Covid, however, we do still hope to have an official photo day later in the year. We have penciled in a date in October but we'll have to wait and see how things pan out in the next month or two before we can confirm.
Lost Property
Our box of lost property is overflowing again. Quite a few items such as jumpers, beanies, and water bottles were left at school after our last term tea. If you're missing something, come and check out the collection in the front office.
Staffing
We are pleased to have appointed a new Prep teacher to start immediately. Mrs Alice Nyabonda will join our teaching team. We're very much looking forward to her contribution. We know you will join us in welcoming her to the school community.
CSEF
The deadline for applications for the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) has been extended this year to July 24. Any family who held a valid Health Care Card on April 14 is eligible.
The annual CSEF amount per student is:
• $125 for primary school students
• $225 for secondary school students.
Families who receive the CSEF are eligible for significant tuition discounts. The school also benefits from increased funding. If you held a card on April 14 and have not yet applied for the CSEF, please contact the school as soon as possible.
