Senior Boarding

SENIOR BOYS

The senior boys have again returned to Mount Erin this term in great spirits and with smiles on their faces. As a community, they continue to face the challenges of COVID-19  and the resulting restrictions with a mixture of resolve and humour.

As exams draw nearer, the Year 11 and 12 boys have been increasing their workload, extending study into the evening and working  collaboratively to support each other’s learning in preparation.

The Creed Cup, which is the Wagga Wagga Inter-school Soccer tournament, has commenced this term with Isaac Gray and Luke Wen representing Kildare Catholic College and Lachlan Murray, Ethan Watt and Matt Mitchell representing Mater Dei Catholic College. Both teams went through the pool matches undefeated and won their respective Semi Finals. They will play off in the Grand Final this coming Wednesday evening.

Many boarders have enjoyed returning to their weekend activities and sports over the last few weeks, with boarding staff also enjoying the stories about their weekend victories or hard fought losses.

Molly and Ellah have been joining in with junior activities.

With the Year 12 Trial Examinations and the Year 11 End of Course Examinations scheduled for this term the girls have been working conscientiously during study time and making the most of every minute available to them.
