Junior Boarding
Junior Boarding
With the interruptions to boarding in Term 2, it is hard to believe we are already in Week 2 of Term 3. This year is going so fast and it will not be too many weeks until Spring is with us.
Using the old adage that "a picture is worth a thousand words" families are invited to view a snapshot of morning life for our Junior Girls.
Ms Jackie Tassell
Junior Girls' Supervisor
The Junior Boys returned for Term 3 with plenty of enthusiasm.
A new partition and door added to the Boarding Supervisor’s Office area since the term began, has made a big difference to the area. Not only does it improve the appearance and visibility, the partition is keeping the area much warmer and comfortable for the boarders. It is a great place to meet and chat with the boys and is the focus location to meet in the afternoons to sign in.
With many of the boys returning to weekend sporting activities for their home clubs, it is not surprising to see plenty of action on the oval and courts each afternoon. The boys value the opportunity to be engaged outdid in this physical activity at the end of the school day.
The Junior Boys are showing a great capacity to respond to the COVID-19 safe requirements within boarding and their maturity around the restrictions has been noted. While the initial limitations on off site activities have now been lifted by Catholic Schools NSW, others such as the number of boarders allowed in each bedroom area and the requirement to maintain strong hygiene standards are maintained.
We take this opportunity to congratulate both Fred Graham (Year 8) and Jim Gray (Year 9) who celebrated their birthdays on July 26th and 27th respectively HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Fred and Jim!
As we begin this new term, I hope the boys' 1st Semester College Reports were well received at home and an opportunity was taken during the holiday break to talk about way to further improve on these in Semester 2.
