Growing Connections

Dodgeball Games with Padua College

Over the past three weeks students across all year levels have been given the opportunity to participate in dodgeball matches with Padua.  Students were placed into teams according to their house colour and then they paired up with the students from Padua in their equivalent house to then compete against the other houses from both colleges.  Overall, the event was a success, with many students enjoying the experience and socialising with those from Padua in a friendly yet competitive setting.

As a spectator it was interesting to see how teams evolved from their initial separation, with Mt A students playing each other on one side of the court and Padua students on the other, to playing all together by the end of matches.  These dodgeball matches were organised under the Growing Connections initiative which has been introduced this year by all Mt A and Padua captains.  With this first event being a success, expect more events like this in the future and just remember to be quick and sign up so that you can secure your spot in a team. I invite you to view some photos of these games below!

Due to the lack of games played in AFL, it was decided not to award any premierships in the Senior A Division in which our two teams were entered.  Fingers crossed we can play a full season in 2023.
