What is the subject about?
In Unit 3 Psychology, students will investigate how the human nervous system enables a person to interact with the world around them and how stress may affect a person’s psychological functioning. Students will understand how we are able to learn and remember information, and ways to improve memory. In Unit 4, students explore the importance of sleep and its influence on mental wellbeing and functioning. Students discuss mental wellbeing as a continuum and examine it from a biological, psychological and social perspective using contemporary research into mental health, phobia and resilience.
