Earlier this year, Cadence Mallet represented Queensland in the 51st U16 Girls’ Softball National Titles, held at Glen Waverley, Victoria, playing for the Esther Deason Shield. Cadence played lead catcher in the Queensland team.
Queensland played ten round games, over five days, to make it into the semi-finals. Queensland then played South Australia in the semi-final winning 7-0, making it straight into the finals game. Cadence and her team mates won the National Title, defeating New South Wales 7-0 in the Grand Final.
Cadence’s performance at the Softball National Titles has resulted in her selection in the Australian Diamonds U16 Squad to play at the International Friendship Series in July 2020 at Redland Softball Association.
