Principals Message

Week 6 Term 1

It's hard to believe that we are past the half way mark of Term One already.  I have been very impressed with the way our students have continued on their learning journey.  Classes are settled and putting their best foot forward.

YMCA Out of School Hours Care

YMCA is a non-profit organisation that coordinates our After School Care.  This is to support our community and provide care options for our parents.  If you need care for your child before school or after school please make contact with the YMCA or call our office and we can help you.

Meat and Greet

Our 'Meat and Greet' was a wonderful success, with many parents taking the opportunity to visit our classrooms to have a chat and a sausage sandwich.  As always, if you wish to check on the progress of your child or raise a concern, appointments can be made throughout the year.  Just contact the office and we will pass on the message.

Swimming Carnival

I would sincerely like to thank our staff and community for the outstanding planning and preparation in the organisation of our Swimming Carnival which was held last week.

An event such as this requires a huge commitment from all staff, not just those that go to pool.

From  to set up and pack up, it was a great team effort as always.

Congratulations to all students for 'having a go' and demonstrating such great sportsmanship on the day. Our parent feedback suggested that the Wyong pool was a great venue.

Facebook

We use Facebook to celebrate the success of our school, in an endeavour to keep you up to date and promote our school to the wider community.  The site is not checked 24 hours a day. We make no apologies for the site only being positive.  Many parents share the site with children and we wish for them to share their day in a positive way.  If you have a concern or query, it will be answered more quickly by contacting the office.  Please take the time to read our Social Media Rules of Engagement before commenting.

Defibrillator

A big thank you to Mr and Mrs Hendry who have donated a defibrillator to the school.  It will be located in the office and can hopefully give our whole community peace of mind.

Parents and Citizens Association Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 18th March at 5.30 pm. Thank you to the outgoing executive and we appreciate your ongoing commitment to our P&C. We will be welcoming Steve Carpenter, the General Manager Federation of Parents and Citizens Associations of NSW, to assist with the election of the 2019 P&C Executive.

Harmony Day

Our school will be celebrating Harmony Day on Thursday 21st March.  We all benefit from the diversity of cultures in our country and we are excited to celebrate them.  Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. As part of this day, students are welcome and encouraged to wear orange or an example of traditional national dress.  Our school has children representing 21 different nationalities which all bring colour and culture to our school, making it a great place to be.

Back Gate

Can I remind all parents that the back gate is not an access point.  The gate is only opened to let our support class students alight from their taxis.

Thanks to all our community for continuing to support our great school...
