Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden

With spring in full swing and summer on our doorstep we have been busy bees in the garden!

On Sunday morning we had our Stephanie Alexander working bee. With the help of many volunteers (who braved the potential threat of rain!) we weeded, topped up soil, organised and cleaned. We are so thankful to all of the wonderful parents and volunteers who gave up their Sunday morning to work on our garden, we appreciate your hard work and ever continuous support for our kitchen garden program.

On Tuesday this week we had the final kitchen/garden class for grades 3 and 4. We created a Halloween themed menu filled with wonderful scary foods and even a jack o lantern! Students were wonderful, thank you for being so adventurous and trying new foods. We had many volunteers for both kitchen and garden sessions which made it all the more memorable. This program wouldn’t be the same without you, so again, THANK YOU!

Kitchen and garden classes operate on Tuesdays and we are always looking for volunteers to assist. Please let the office or Miss Davis know if you are interested in volunteering.

Thank you to everyone who has donated jars to go towards making jam for the stall. We still need some more, so if you could please send any jars with lids that are suitable for jams to Miss Davis in Room 4, we would appreciate it very much.

Thank you.
