Parent Information session in Maroondah

There are some amazing sessions and courses that run through Maroondah Council that some of you may be unaware of. Most of these sessions are free (or have a small charge, usually no more than $10) and are accessible  to a wide range of people. It's great to see that some of the courses available support our Positive Education philosophy, too. Feel free to check them out! https://www.maroondah.vic.gov.au/Community-support-services/Children-and-families/Parenting-information-sessions

Staff V Students Basketball match

What a buzz there was around the school on Wednesday when the staff played the Grade 6 students in a thrilling basketball match. It was so wonderful to see the excitement and enthusiasm from everyone there, with the teachers walking (some limping) away with a convincing victory. Events such as this are just another example of how we connect with each other here at RNPS, and how we nurture positive relationships within our school community. We can't wait for the next staff V students match!

Positive Education parent session

I am so excited to announce that we will be hosting a parent workshop session on Monday 23rd of March at 7pm. Many of you attended the different Positive Education sessions we ran last year, and these were received so well by those who attended. One piece of feedback we received was that although the sessions were useful and engaging, they weren't always being held at a time that people could get to them. This term, we are offering a parent workshop on 'Growth Mindset', and how you can help to build a positive mindset for yourself, and your children. The session will be run by myself and Edwina Ricci, the head of the Maroondah Positive Education in Schools project. We would love to see as many of you there as possible.

Be sure to check out the even on the school Facebook page, and register your interest!
