Understanding SLD

Happy Monday Everyone!

Our LA Region School Psychologists put together a one-page chart to help us all with understanding Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and the various areas that fall under that umbrella. The chart includes a summary of each processing area, what deficits could look like in class as well as some potential accommodations. Please take a look at the chart and identify ways in which you can support a student with a SLD. If you have a student with SLD, but you aren’t sure what their processing area of concern is, please reach out to your Education Specialist. If you currently do not have any students with SLD as their eligibility, please save this handy dandy docas it can also be used to support students without IEPs.
