Sports Update

Swimming Carnivals

Junior Carnival (Years 7 & 8): Pines Forest Aquatic Centre, Monday 1st of March.

Senior Carnival (Years 9-12): Doveton Pool in the Park, Thursday the 4th of March.

These events are always a lot of fun for the students and can create life long memories. The students have the opportunity to spend the day with their friends and compete for their Sub-Schools in the water. Not only is it a fun day, it is also a qualification event for all students who want to compete at District Swimming Titles which is held at Pines on the 12th of March.

All swimming strokes will be covered on the day, with the fastest times from each event qualifying to represent EMC for the district swim carnival. Our main focus on the day is for students to have fun. We love seeing students competing against their friends and peers in the water. Our goal every year is to get as many students in the water as possible. It’s a great opportunity for students to demonstrate their THRIVE values by “Getting Involved” with a little bit of friendly sub school rivalry with Myamba looking to defend its Junior title and Kurunda defending its Senior title.

If you have any further questions, please contact the EMC Sports Coordinator Team or your students' Home Group Teacher.
