An Overview of our Learning

2020 was not the year any of us planned for. We were so lucky to have an amazing group of Year 2 students and families who were flexible, resilient and so supportive while we got through it all together. 2020 certainly has been a year that we never predicted. From restrictions to lockdown and Remote Learning, it is a year no one will forget. We have been so fortunate to have all the students back on site for their final term of Year 2.

Students have been completing lots of different activities and lessons, and having meaningful discussions promoting mental health and wellbeing. Highlights from this term include completing all InitiaLit lessons for the year, learning about the water cycle and how we use water at school, measuring the school using trundle wheels, counting the cars out on Morris Road (safely from behind the school fence of course), building MAB towers during place value, dressing up for crazy hair and crazy sock day, filming the Christmas concert, making a cotton ball snowman, searching for the Elf on the Shelf everyday, learning their Year 3 teachers, going to transition sessions, having end of year celebrations and so much more!

It is our hope that 2021 is a ‘normal year’ for everyone as we farewell these amazing students into Year 3. Miss Bowles and Mrs Hall have loved teaching your children and we can’t wait to see them learn and grow in Year 3 as we welcome a new and lovely group of students into Year 2 in 2021.

Thank you to everyone for an amazing year, we wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
