Experiencing the sights and sounds of the Botanical Gardens

Late last year, three of our now year 8 students, Edie Simpson, Ned Partridge and Maya Healy, were invited to visit the Arid Garden Exhibition at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Students were also asked to contribute to the development of a sound experience through means of an interview. Their interview recordings will be used to curate Sonica Botanica, a self-guided sound experience for visitors to the gardens that will celebrate the special landscape of the Arid Garden. It is the 175th anniversary of the Royal Botanic Gardens this year and Sonica Botanica is the first of four episodes being released throughout 2021.
