Year 9 Visual Arts

Observational drawing on the Merri Creek 

Within Year 9 Illustration and Environmental Design (Visual Arts) students are first given the task of designing an illustrated nature trail and information panels for the local Merri Creek area. In Week 2, students walked down to the Merri Creek to collect primary research in the form of observational drawings. The class enjoyed this opportunity to collect information firsthand, and to immerse themselves in the natural environment that we are lucky to have at our doorstep here at NHS. Here are some examples of their excellent work!
