Advent and Christmas

As Advent draws to a close and Christmas is nearing, we are now ready and waiting for the birth of Jesus.  This special occasion marks the beginning of hope and joy for many this year as it has been a year of changes.   Christmas is a time for celebration with family and friends where we can share in our hope and joy together.

On Monday 14th December the students and staff will be marking Christmas by wearing festive colours such as red, green, white, gold or silver.  We will be celebrating the Christmas spirit with singing traditional Christmas Carols and fun Christmas songs, doing Christmas activities and a Prayer Liturgy at 3pm hosted by the Prep class.

The recorded video of the Nativity Play and Carols will be sent to parents via SeeSaw Monday afternoon so that you can view it along with the school and then at your leisure.

On Thursday 17th December, the Year 5 and 6 students will be participating in an End of Year Prayer Liturgy and Lantern Ceremony at 12.30pm as has been the tradition at St Anthony's for the past years.   We wish them well in their endeavours, guided by the light and hope of Christ.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and blessed Christmas, filled with the joy and happiness of the coming of our Saviour Jesus Christ.  May the peace of the season be with you all!

God Bless,
