Advent

This week we began looking at Advent in the lead up to Christmas. It’s quite good timing but the first candle that we light for Advent is that of hope. As we look back over the year and even just the last 7 days I’m sure there have been many of you who have thought about hope. I hope that COVID goes away I’m sure is on everyone’s thoughts. There is the hope that next year will be better than this year and that we can get back to even more normality.

Advent is about many things, but hope is certainly a part that I think about a lot. It is the hope of a saviour, and as Christmas approaches, Advent reminds us that Jesus and his birth at Christmas are also about Hope.

We all have hopes and dreams, and as we look towards the end of the year it is my hope that you all have a fantastic, healthy, safe and happy Christmas and holiday break.
