From the Senior School Sportsmaster
To those of you starting at St Pius for the first time. Welcome.
To those returning, welcome back to Term 1 2021.
We begin the Senior Sport program with our District Cricket restart on Saturday 30 January followed by the Senior Swimming Carnival next Tuesday 2 February at Macquarie Aquatic Centre.
Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions on numbers we are not able to have spectators at the Swimming Carnival. More details on this event will follow via email.
A reminder also that all boys will require a mask when travelling on all school Chartered buses, including for after-school sport training. Please ensure that your sons have a mask at hand for these times. This will be an important addition to requirements for the Swimming Carnival.
ISA Summer Sport and NSTA Tennis begin on 6 February. COVID protocols for these competitions will be communicated as they are finalised.
Please ensure that your sons are correctly attired and equipped for their respective sports.
I look forward to meeting up with you all throughout the school year.
Mr Matt Stearn - Senior School Sportsmaster

Liam Chang (36*) and Oscar MacDonald (9*) ensured that SPX finished their innings at 6/226. Fast and accurate new ball bowling and biting spin ensured that wickets fell consistently with SAC 4/61 at drinks and 9/111 with 15 overs remaining. A late rearguard action saw the final wicket fall in the 50th over, SAC 10/160. Liam Kinna (3/26), Logan Nicey (2/26), Harrison O’Brien (2/32), Oscar MacDonald (1/17) and Nick Ward (1/19).
