New VET Course for 2020

Cert II in VET Heavy and Light Rail Fundamentals

An exciting opportunity for students interested in a career in the rail Industry.

The Rail Authority – Level Crossing Authority (Vic Government) has sponsored the development of a pre-vocational course in heavy and light rail fundamentals. This VET course is designed for secondary students considering a career in the growing rail industry.

Students in VCAL, VCE or Year 10 are encouraged to undertake the course over two years. You must be prepared to attend Newport, Melbourne for theory and practical training which is walking distance from the station. Training will be weekly on a Wednesday from 12.30pm – 4.30pm.
